Chicken Taco Burgers

I got this recipe out of the newest Taste of Homes magazine. I made it for dinner last night and it was Delicious. I served it with fries, my homemade salse and home made chips.
1 egg, beating
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 tbsp. taco seasoning
1 garlic glove, minced
1 lbs ground chicken
4 buns, split and toasted

In a large bowl, combine the first 5 ingerdients. Shape into 4 patties. Grill burgers over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink, about 6 minutes a side. serve

Southwest burger Topping

4 slices pepper Jack cheese
1 medium ripe avacado peeled and slices
1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped
1/2 salsa

Top the burger with cheese, cook 1-2 mins until cheese is melted. Top with avacado, jalapeno and salsa
*I used my homemade salsa instead of the jar*

Tortilla Chips

8 small tortilla, flour or corn

1 cup oil, any

Salt

Take the tortilla's and stack them, cut them into 8 pieces. Place them into the heated oil. Watch closely as they will burn fast. Flip as needed. Cook until golden. When done remove from oil and drain on paper towel. Add salt right after they are removed. Enjoy...

Salsa

My husband loves it when i make homemade salsa. He is the one
that taught me the recipe and I just made it better. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

1/4 cup cilantro finely chopped

1 lime

After dicing everything mix into a bowl. Add lime juice and salt.
Can serve right away or chill first. It can also be doubled. The avacado is optional.
